Fenech Soler

06 Apr

Okay, so this band are making a lot of noise at the moment. I won’t bother with any pointless information about the band as it’s probably just going to bore you but I will concentrate on the music.

People are probably aware of their latest track Stop and Stare which is currently being overplayed by Radio 1 (thanks again Radio 1!) and will therefore soon be ruined. However, the band are really a nice prospect for anyone who likes that kind of girly French-sounding electropop like Friendly Fires and Delphic. They played live at the Kitsuné night at Heaven on the bank holiday weekend and have another gig in London at the Together series of nights at The Coronet on 23rd April (playing alongside Uffie, Kavinsky and more) so you should catch them before they are selling out HMV/Carling sponsored venues in Hammersmith/Brixton/Kentish Town and you can’t actually see them for all the screaming female teens who recently discovered their own genitals.

Stop and Stare is a good track and all, but they have far better gems out there and I just wanted to highlight them here.

We have linked up the band’s blog on the right hand menu there and you can find a collection of all their songs and remixes on my hype machine list at http://hypem.com/crumblelondon but I will showcase some of my favourites here.

Sorry for the lack of video

Mimo – Running Out (Fenech Soler remix)

Marina and the Diamonds – Hollywood (Fenech Soler Remix)

Fenech Soler – Cult of Romance (Alan Braxe remix)

Those are some of my favourites for now but I am predicting big things for the band so check them out while they are still hot.
